Almar Grimsson, President of the INL of Iceland and Guđríđur Sigurđardóttir Director of the Cultural House of Iceland signed an agreement to improve cooperation between the INL of Iceland and the Cultural House in efforts to promote education and awareness of the culture of icelandic settlers in Northern America. A similar agreement already exists between the INL and the Vesturfararsetur, The Icelandic Emigration Center in Hofsos . Valgeir Ţorvaldsson Director of the Vesturfararsetur was present during the signing of the agreement.
The Annual Meeting of the INL of Iceland will be held at the Cultural House on October 19,2006. Check www.inl.is for further information.
